Markus Stockhausen és a QUADRIVIUM / CAFe 2017

Rooted in European classical music, the compositions of Stockhausen and Comisso establish a harmonic synthesis with the art of improvisation: they are now airy, now playful, sometimes expressive and emotional, and may even feature humour when it is in order. Stockhausen, Brinkmann, Comisso and Thomé are virtuoso players, whose exciting devices extend the possibilities of instrumental performance.

The legendary trumpeter and his ensemble present their latest record at the concert. Spiced up with electronica, their music stands close to jazz, and can also delight audiences with classical or contemporary sensibilities.

The story of Quadrivium goes back to 2003, when Markus Stockhausen and Angelo Comisso gave their first duo concert. In 2004 they were joined by Christian Thomé, a sensitive percussionist, and the trio released several highly successful records. Jörg Brinkmann, the fourth member of what was from then on called Quadrivium, came in 2015.
